Service Dogs by Warren Retrievers has developed a proprietary and unique program for training dogs to support veterans, adults and children who are daily coping with post traumatic stress disorder. There are a number of tasks the dogs can be taught to support those with PTSD including helping with medication reminders, other memory issues such as disorientation, directional challenges, and keeping track of time. Our mission is to provide service dogs that help PTSD victims gain independence over their condition.
Each dog is tailored and trained to best support our individual client’s needs. For PTSD service dogs, we train for things like teaching the dog to retrieve items such as drinks for taking medications or to alleviate dry mouth syndrome. The dogs can also be taught to respond to sounds such as door bells, smoke alarms, or other noises. Our goal is to trains dogs that can effectively provide relief from emotional overload and caring for the service dog can offer consistency in a daily routine, offering increased independence and providing a buffer against apathy, low mental energy and unwanted attention in public places.
Our program is completely tailored around each of our of our clients. We listen to what you tell us and we create a program that targets your primary concerns. In order to adequately provide you with information about our program, we would need to speak with you so that we can appropriately address your concerns. SDWR PTSD service dogs are primarily used for Veterans or children with a history of trauma. Our goal is to provide peace of mind to everyone in the family, not just the individual coping with a stress disorder. Our PTSD service dogs have a wide variety of abilities that could benefit you.
